Fish species

In addition to salmon, a number of other species of fish inhabits the Tana Watercourse. A lot of the tributaries have populations of large sea trout, grayling, pike, perch, whitefish etc., which makes out an important food source for the local residents in the Tana Valley. Many of the species are also highly sought after and popular among anglers.
