100 NOK per pike head – Tanavassdragets Fiskeforvaltning

Tanavassdragets Fish Management decided during the TF meeting on May 30, 2024, to offer a bounty of 100 NOK per pike head submitted. Only heads will be accepted for documenting the number of pike caught; carcasses will NOT be examined. This applies exclusively to pike caught in the anadromous stretches of the Tana River system.

At the TF meeting on May 30, 2024, the Tanavassdragets Fisheries Management decided to give a reward of 100 NOK per pike head submitted. Pike stomachs will NOT be examined, so ONLY heads are to be submitted for documentation of the number of pike caught. This applies only to pike caught in the anadromous stretches of the Tana River system.

Pike heads can be delivered to Jergul Fjellstue c/o Thorald Holmestrand (mobile 91720686), to Karasjok Camping, or to the office in Polmak. Alternatively, they can be frozen privately and delivered later.

There are new regulations this year regarding where you can fish, so remember to check the fishing rules before you start fishing.

The following information from the fisherman is required:

Name of the fisherman
Phone number
Account number
Number of pike delivered
Catch location and date
Whether the pike was tagged (radio or spaghetti) or untagged

NB! It is important that the information stays dry and is not placed next to the pike heads.

Remember, pike is an excellent fish for food!
